In August, Miller Homes unveiled a set of proposals for 2,000 more homes in Kirkliston. This is on land to the east of the village along both sides of Burnshot Road.

There are just over 2,000 homes already in Kirkliston. This plan, if approved, would double the size of the village.
There is currently no specific planning application and any final plan would need permission from the Council to proceed. The land in question is currently designated as green belt and so any decision would need to be taken in a vote of all 63 councillors.
The presented plans included;
- A first phase of 1,200 homes followed by a further 800 homes in a second phase.
- Realignment of the current Burnshot Road.
- A new eastern loop road.
- New retail and community buildings.
- Space for a new school campus.
- A possible new rail station on the existing Glasgow-Fife line.
- Space for parks and allotments.
- Potential new cemetery.
We have provided some of the images from the August presentation below.
As local councillors, we want to know what you think about these plans. We are encouraging everyone in Kirkliston to complete our survey here. Please take five minutes to tell us what you think.
